Stuart C. Kozinn, MDDr. Stuart C. Kozinn is a highly regarded orthopedic surgeon in Scottsdale, Arizona who has been serving his patients for over 28 years using advanced joint reconstruction techniques. Dr. Kozinn’s training includes a Joint Replacement Fellowship at  Harvard Medical School, and graduation from the highest ranked orthopedic training program at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City (part of the Cornell-Presbyterian New York Medical Center). His extensive training in surgery includes his internship at the New York Hospital, Cornell Medical College, and specialty surgical rotations at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

He received his MD degree from UCLA Medical School in 1982 with additional honors for his innovative joint replacement research, which described bone ingrowth into cementless skeletal implants. Dr. Kozinn’s bone ingrowth research won the “All Categories First Prize” award at an international student research competition. He is an expert at all approaches to total joint replacement and developed muscle sparing surgery techniques that allowed his patients to recover more rapidly. Dr. Kozinn is still seeing select patients, but he is transitioning to teaching and administrative duties. Dr. Kozinn is no available for complex consultations involving problematic issues after total joint replacement surgeries.  Dr. Kozinn is an expert in “standard of care” evaluations regarding total joint complications.  Dr. Kozinn serves as the current Chief of surgery at the HonorHealth Scottsdale  Osborn Medical Center, where he is also the Medical Director of the highly rated Total Joint Center. Dr. Kozinn has authored a current “best practice” clinical pathway for total joint patients to be treated at the HonorHealth total  joint centers.
